Yes this is definitely possible and easy to do currently and FancyWM already has access to all of the needed APIs and events. However, the virtual desktop API is internal and unsupported by Microsoft which means if can break with Windows Update. FancyWM maintains bindings for 5+ different revisions of that API because it keeps changing even with minor Windows Updates. I would be hesitant to have such a feature on anything but experimental basis for that reason. I guess the concern is, I don't want people relying on it being fully supported until one day a Windows Update makes it impossible to support. |

I wonder if Windows has such APIs that allow fancywm to monitor window maximization and move windows to new virtual desktops
