I made a number of changes to the plugin here:
aspect-build/aspect-cli@main...gonzojive:aspect-cli:kotlin-gazelle

The changes should be separated out into a set of smaller PRs and merged into this repo. I plan to do this. This issue is to make others aware of that intent, not a request for others to do the work.

It was some time ago that I made the changes, so it'll take some analysis to figure out what I changed. As I do that analysis, I'll update this bug with a description of the feature changes. They can be discussed one by one in the PRs that get created.
