Case Study

This case study will look at using the processor to create reports drawing data from four instance documents reporting summary financials for 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. The instance documents are those submitted to the Danish Business Authority (Erhvervsstyrelsen) by over 50,000 Danish companies each year. Each of the four instance documents documents submitted by each company use a different version of the DCCA taxonomy.

An important requirement of this study is to make the process efficient because it is necessary to ensure that multiple taxonomy versions can be used so the integrity of the reported data can be assured but does not degrade performance. A target is to be able to produce a report for any company, one that includes data from all four instance documents, in under one second while being able to use taxonomy information to select the appropriate data. Some concepts, such as Equity, will be associated with multiple facts in the same year yet it is requirement of this study to include only one of the reported values associated with the Equity concept.
