As mentioned by @khaeru in iiasa/ixmp#557 (comment), we will need functionality to clone a Run from one Platform to another in order to make use of our planned DB setup (with e.g. one "archive" instance and workflows starting by cloning a Run from "archive" to a "work" instance).
I don't think this is too complicated to implement, so a few days should be enough to add this.
