Are there any suggestions regarding the syntax of lambda expressions? Currently, they are implemented according to this issue:#27, but this may not be the best option.

For anonymous functions, you can use a popular syntax, for example:

var f = <function keyword>(arguments) return types { /* body */ }

In Ixion, this might look like this:
var f = def(a: int, b: int): int { return a + b }

You can also add a type definition, like in Rust:
var f = def(a, b) { return a + b }

Lambda expressions aren't as good in Python as I remember. But you can use a similar syntax, which might be an interesting solution, something like this:

var f = lambda x: int, y: int : int { return x + y }

x and y are the arguments.
After : comes the return type, and in curly braces is the function body.

Or with type definition:

var f = lambda x, y { return x + y }
