Issue where it will resize the wrong image

I noticed that when uploading the image to storage, some resizes the image, but others sometimes resizes a previous image not related to the image that was supposed to be resized.

I'm actually running this code in production and I've never noticed that error 🤔 can you please describe your upload flow and the expected behavior vs the actual behavior?

It happens when I upload for a second time. The first one usually produces fine but after the second image is uploaded, it starts to mix match. I just copied the code from your github so it shouldn't be an error in the code if it's working for you. I couldn't find an issue where Firebase Storage function is mix matching.

So I just created a "test" bucket right now.
I've uploaded the first image (tags.jpg), and the function ran well. I've overwritten the tags.jpg image, the function still ran well.

Then, I've uploaded a second image (team.jpg) and the function gave no problems. I've overwritten team.jpg and still no problems occurred:

Can you please check the functions log in order to inspect what goes wrong?

The logs seem normal. I'm not sure what is the problem. I'm just uploading the image file and it mix matches them for some reason.

Did you find a solution to this problem? Still getting the same bug. This time I uploaded an image programmatically and the resizing still resizes a previous image in cache. Maybe clear the cache or something? I wouldn't know how to do this. All I know is that the resized image is getting the previous image that I uploaded. Does tmpDir still have the value of the previous image once it executes? I want to be able to use this function.

I'm not able to reproduce that error... I've been using Daguerre in production for a month right now and not a single error has been spotted.
Please make sure that you're running this script on Node 10

I had the same issue, and was able to resolve it by changing this line:
const tmpFilePath = join(workingDir, "source.png");

To this:
const tmpFilePath = join(workingDir, fileName);
