VLAN Group Scoped to Site Group not showing at Site #22177

Yeah, this is a known UX gap. When you scope a VLAN Group to a Site Group, it doesn't automatically show up in the "Related Objects" panel on individual Sites within that group. The scoping works correctly for filtering purposes (like when assigning VLANs to interfaces on devices at those sites), but the UI just doesn't surface it in the site detail view. It's basically a display issue, not a data model issue. The VLAN Group is still correctly scoped and will show up when you're assigning VLANs to interfaces on devices at Bldg1/2/3. You can also see it if you go to the VLAN Group detail page — it'll show the scope is CampusA. If this is bugging you, you could open a feature request to have inherited VLAN Groups from parent Site Groups show in the site's Related Objects panel. It does seem like something that should be surfaced there. |

For a quick overview of how I have this setup, we would have a site group for a campus (CampusA) which contains sites (Bldg1, Bldg2, Bldg3). Since all of these buildings share the same layer 2 network I would scope a VLAN Group to the CampusA site group. However when you open one of the sites (Bldg1), there is no VLAN or VLAN Group shown in the Related Objects window.
