Project IMACE Operational Structure

Project IMACE operates within a multi-layered independent operational framework designed to support coordinated, transparent, and scalable research activity.

While Prohect IMACE functions as an open research initiative—where resources, outputs, and systems are made available in accordance with its Licensing framework—it maintains a structured operational model to ensure continuity, accountability, and effective coordination across its research ecosystem.

Coordination Committee Structure

Project IMACE is primarily coordinated through its Research Coordination Committee, supported by designated roles responsible for oversight, execution, and alignment of research activities.

Core Roles

Responsibilities

Chief Research Organiser (CRO)

  • Provides overall research direction and strategic guidance
  • Holds final coordination authority across IMACE activities
  • Ensures alignment with IMACE’s research objectives and principles

Research Coordination Committee

  • Reviews major research decisions and proposals
  • Maintains structural and operational consistency
  • Supports coordination across projects, contributors, and affiliations

Project Research Coordinator (PRC)

  • Coordinates project-level activities and initiatives
  • Facilitates collaboration across affiliated groups and contributors # Project IMACE Operational Structure

Founding Support and Affiliation

As an open research initiative governed under its Licensing and Intellectual Property frameworks, IMACE recognizes the role of structured Affiliation within its operational ecosystem.

THE ALTERN RESEARCH serves as the founding supporter of Project IMACE. It functions as a principal supporting research entity, contributing to coordination, collaboration, and foundational alignment.

In particular, its anchored collective:

  • ArcBMM — The Altern Research Collective of Brains, Minds & Machines

provides domain-specific support within the broader research scope.

Affiliation does not imply governance authority over IMACE but represents a structured form of collaboration and support.

Decision Process

  • Decisions are made through structured coordination, review, and approval by the designated roles within the Research Coordination Committee.

  • In this ecosystem for the purpose of research autonomous coordination & outside affiliations allowed, sponsorship and infrastructure support allowed, but final project direction stays with the Project IMACE research coordination committee.

  • This process ensures that all major actions remain aligned with Projets’s research scope, governance principles, and operational integrity.
