We've consistently seeing issues with kernel-out-of-memory.
We'd like to continue using renovate as it's such a great tool for maintaining our OSS ❤

Via #40942 you should be able to tune toolSettings.nodeMaxMemory to get pnpm to come in under the memory limits - if that doesn't work, we can see about upping the memory, but it'd be good to try and get toolSettings.nodeMaxMemory doing it for you 🤞

Hi @jamietanna, thanks for following up!

We've been experimenting with toolSettings.nodeMaxMemory in the sanity-io/sanity monorepo, tried 1.5, 2.0, and 2.5 GB, but we're still hitting kernel-out-of-memory failures every time. At this point it's effectively blocking Renovate from running for us entirely.

I'm not sure there's much more we can tweak on our side. Any suggestions for what we could try next, or is there a chance of having a memory increase?

Apologies for the delay!

Because the "plan" being used is based on the organization/user it's installed upon, we can't upgrade the @sanity-io organisation (due to a high number of private repos this would affect)

We can look at upgrading the memory on this repository in particular (in the meantime), but may also be worth seeing if y'all were interested in upselling to Enterprise Cloud?
