First things first:

I LOVE this! Thank you for making such an epic beast for the VIC. Monster indeed.

In your youtube demos Oct 2023 and Jan 2025 you mention Monster requires Final Expansion because of needing the 512kb banked RAM.

The Ultimem cartridge has 1Mb RAM which can be banked in 8kb blocks (and 8Mb flash) so it should presumably also be sufficient to run Monster. I think there's a 128kb version which may not be sufficient.

@christo thank you much for the kind words! And so sorry that I am just now seeing this now O_O.

I am a big fan of the Ultimem project. I actually discussed a rerun with Jim Brain a while back. I really do think it's a superior memory expansion. The capacity is obviously a big thing, but I also think the programming interface is just a lot nicer/more sensible.

When you posted this issue this would've been a pretty big undertaking, but I've been doing a lot of refactoring for a C64 port, and it shouldn't be toooo bad anymore. Will keep you posted!

The project is also still not quite in a state that I could recommend using it, so you're not really missing anything atm ;)
