Download Nearby.dmg — open it, drag to Applications, done.
- Download the app and drag it to Applications

That's it. No account, no login, no social network. It just watches Find My in the background and texts you.
A text whenever a friend is close:
Friend Nearby! Taylor is ~3 min walk away (as of just now)
It also detects when two of your friends are near each other:
Intro opportunity! Rohan and Sarah are ~2 min walk apart (as of just now). Intro them?
Screenshot the notification, send it to your friend, make plans.
- macOS 13+ (Ventura)
- Signed into iCloud with Find My enabled
- At least one person sharing their location with you via Find My
- Full Disk Access (the app prompts you on first launch)
- You can only see people who already share their location with you via Find My. This doesn't give you access to anyone new.
- No passwords, no accounts. Just your phone number so we can text you.
- Anonymous telemetry only. We count installs. We don't know who you are or where you go.
Quit the app from the menu bar, then drag it out of Applications.
