Releases: jtiberius9-spec/Wraith
Wraith v0.5.0 — native engine (HEVC · native audio · live keymaps · mic recording)
Wraith v0.5.0 — rebuilt on a native scrcpy/QtScrcpy engine. 🖤
New
- 🔊 Native audio — no extra app on the phone; audio starts/stops with the mirror automatically
- ⚡ H.265/HEVC with hardware decoding (Quick Sync / D3D11VA) + an in-app H.264/H.265 codec switch
- 🎨 F10 keymap editor — drag-and-drop palette, live keymap switching, and a New button to create maps
- 🎥 F12 recording with your PC mic mixed in (phone mic stays free for in-game voice; adjustable mic gain)
- 🌑 Dark theme + remembers your settings (bitrate, resolution, codec, keymap, record path…) between launches
Notes
Self-contained signed installer — adb, scrcpy-server and ffmpeg bundled, nothing else to install. Already on an older Wraith? Press Update / Check for Updates to switch to this build.
Wraith v0.4.3 - rotation fix
What's new in v0.4.3
Fixes the crash/freeze on screen rotation. Launching a landscape game (or any portrait↔landscape flip) used to freeze the mirror or drop the connection and force a server restart. That's fixed — the mirror now follows your phone's orientation smoothly, both ways, as many times as you like.
Under the hood: the window now renders on OpenGL, separate from the video decoder's GPU device, so rotating no longer tears the decoder down.
How to update
- Already have Wraith? Click ⟳ Check for Updates in the launcher — it'll grab this automatically.
- New install? Download Wraith-Setup-0.4.3.exe below and run it (per-user install, no admin needed).
Wraith 0.4.2 — flick-free aim + smooth mirror
Wraith 0.4.2 — smooth, flick-free aim + smooth mirror
Aim flick gone, for real. The mouse-look finger now drags across the whole screen and re-anchors only inside a hidden button-free zone, very rarely — so looking in any direction is smooth, recoil control holds with no flick, and you can look up/down freely (even when not firing or aiming).
Smooth continuous turns. A fast gaming mouse no longer floods the link during a turn — look input is coalesced, so side-to-side is fluid instead of jumpy.
Smoother mirror (vsync). Each frame locks to your monitor's refresh for even pacing.
Tip for the smoothest picture: set your monitor to 60 Hz while playing. The phone renders 60fps; odd rates like 99 Hz can't divide it evenly and look like ~50fps judder.
One-click update from any 0.2.0+ build, or download Wraith-Setup-0.4.2.exe below.
Wraith v0.4.1
Wraith v0.4.1 — flick-free aim, smoother strafe, and it no longer crashes if the phone drops.
Fixed
- Aim flick gone. The mouse-look finger now re-centers exactly like QtScrcpy (atomic, no mid-turn gap), so big turns and recoil control stay smooth instead of snapping the camera.
- WASD diagonal strafe — W+A / W+D give a true diagonal every time (no more "just goes left").
- No crash on a dropped link. After a long minimized / screen-off session the USB link can die; Wraith now shows "PHONE DISCONNECTED" in the title bar instead of crashing — quit (F9) and relaunch to reconnect.
- Maximize → restore returns a portrait phone to a portrait window.
Included from 0.4.0
- Performance preset in Start Config — Auto (detect) probes your PC and picks the best size / fps / bitrate / codec; Low / Medium / High presets; Custom. Weak laptops: pick Auto or Low.
- Lighter when minimized — keeps decoding (instant restore) but skips the frame conversion nobody can see.
Click Check for Updates in Wraith to grab it, or download Wraith-Setup-0.4.1.exe below. Installer is per-user (no admin) and code-signed.
Wraith v0.4.0
Wraith v0.4.0 — performance presets, smoother aim, lighter when minimized.
New
- Performance preset in Start Config — one click instead of guessing codecs. Auto (detect) probes your PC (hardware decode + CPU cores) and fills in the best size / fps / bitrate / codec; Low / Medium / High are fixed bundles; Custom leaves your fields alone. Weak laptops: pick Auto or Low and it just works.
- Smoother turns — the aim re-anchor no longer flicks the camera on fast swings (Delta Force and similar). The old margin "park" buffered fast mouse motion and dumped it as one jump; turns are now continuous.
- Lighter when minimized — the mirror keeps decoding (instant restore) but skips the frame conversion nobody can see, freeing the CPU.
Notes
- Updates still ship here on GitHub — click Check for Updates in Wraith and it installs in one click.
- Installer is per-user (no admin prompt) and code-signed.
