Download the Windows version of Sims-CC-Manager. Typically, the file will be a setup executable (.exe) or a compressed archive (.zip).
-
If you downloaded a .zip file, right-click it and select “Extract All” to unpack the files.
-
If you downloaded an .exe installer, double-click it to start installation.
-
Follow the installer prompts: accept the license, choose the install location, and wait for the process to finish.
-
Once installed, launch Sims-CC-Manager from your Start menu or desktop shortcut.
When you open the app the first time, it will ask you to select which Sims game(s) you want to manage (Sims 2, Sims 3, Sims 4). Choose the game(s) installed on your computer.
In the settings menu, specify where your mods and custom content are located. Default folders often include:
- Sims 2: Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads
- Sims 3: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages
- Sims 4: Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\Mods
If your mods are in a different folder, use the folder picker to navigate to it.
Click the “Scan” button to let Sims-CC-Manager detect all mods in the selected folders. The app will display a list with mod file names, sizes, and dates.
Check or uncheck mods in the list to enable or disable them. The app will handle moving or renaming files as needed to turn mods on or off.
Organize your mods by creating groups. For example, you might have “Cas Mods,” “Gameplay Mods,” or “Bug Fixes.” Drag and drop mods into these groups.
Use the backup tool to save a copy of your current mod setup. This helps if you want to restore a previous state or transfer mods to another computer.
Sims-CC-Manager runs a simple conflict check on your enabled mods. It highlights files that might overlap or cause issues.
You can customize several options:
- Choose which Sims games to manage
- Change mod folder locations
- Set automatic backups on app close
- Enable detailed scanning for mod metadata
- Adjust notifications for conflicting mods
Settings are saved automatically and apply on next mod scan.
- .package (Sims 2, 3, 4 mod files)
- .sims3pack (Sims 3 content)
- .ts4script (Sims 4 script mods)
- .zip, .rar (compressed mod files; may require manual extraction)
The app works best with unpacked .package files.
- If mods don’t appear, verify folder paths are correct and scan again.
- If enabling a mod does not work, the file may be in use or locked by Sims.
- Use the backup restore option if mods cause game crashes.
- Make sure the Sims game is closed before changing mods with Sims-CC-Manager.
