NA Hackathon 2026 — Nucleic Acid Structure Annotation & Prediction

When: 27–29 May 2026
Where: Prague, Czech Republic

This repository is the collaborative workspace for the Nucleic Acid Structure Annotation & Prediction Hackathon 2026.

How we work here

  • Use Issues for tasks, questions, and proposals.
  • Use Pull Requests for changes to docs/code/specs.
  • Avoid sharing personal data (emails, travel details, reimbursements) in issues or commits.

Workstreams

Workstream 1 — Unified annotation & validation workflow

Goal: integrate key annotation + validation steps into a reproducible workflow with consistent outputs and agreed case studies.

Workstream 2 — RNA prediction & non-Watson-Crick base pairs

Goal: clarify interoperable representations for Watson-Crick + non-Watson-Crick base pairs (2D + mmCIF mapping), and support benchmarking / case studies.

Repo structure (high level)

  • docs/ — agenda, onboarding, decisions, meeting notes
  • workstreams/ — workstream-specific specs, notes, and code
  • data/small example inputs only (avoid large files; use links/releases)
  • workflow/ — Nextflow/workflow prototypes (if used)
  • .github/ — issue + PR templates
